U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) announced Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) will receive $1,760,000 in funding to implement an advanced manufacturing training program. The grant was awarded from the U.S. Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education.
The grant will fund a new Operational Skills Certificate, a Workforce Pell-aligned short-term program designed to prepare students for roles in advanced manufacturing, automation, and battery production.
