WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 -- Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a proposed rule called: Safety Standard for Lithium-Ion Batteries Used in Micromobility Products and Electrical Systems of Micromobility Products Containing Such Batteries.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 5 by Alberta E. Mills, Secretary, Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Summary: The Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) is providing an opportunity for interested parties to present oral comments on the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) the Commission issued for a safety standard for lithium-ion batteries.
