WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal issued text of the following press release:
Today, the Connecticut congressional delegation announced more than $6.8 million in federal funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for eight Connecticut traffic and road safety projects.
The funds are awarded through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program established to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.
