Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) released the following statement on President Trump's decision to deploy ICE to Hartsfield-Jackson and airports around the country.
"Under the guise of supporting TSA workers, Donald Trump is deploying ICE agents to Hartsfield-Jackson to intimidate travelers.
TSA officers-the people trained to keep travelers safe-are showing up to work without pay while Trump and Republicans repeatedly block legislation to fund TSA. All because they refuse to accept even basic reforms to keep ICE from terrorizing our communities.
