Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) released the following statement in response to today's vote on a bipartisan war powers resolution to rein in President Trump's unauthorized military actions in Iran. The resolution passed in the House 215-208.
"Iran should never have a nuclear weapon, but for months, the Administration has failed to explain exactly what their goals are and how they're going to end this war. Every day they delay is another day the lives of men and women of our military are at risk.
"It's ridiculous to continue spending billions of dollars on a war without goals while families and seniors struggle to make ends meet....
