Congresswoman Luz Rivas (CA-29) released the following statement following the Supreme Court's ruling to void two majority Black congressional districts in Louisiana and weaken Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, a critical provision that prohibits racial discrimination in voting policies and district maps:
