Washington, D.C. - 7/30/26. Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) sent a letter to Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins requesting information on the agency's preparedness for the emerging opportunities and risks posed by quantum technologies to America's financial markets.
While quantum technologies could significantly improve fraud detection, risk modeling, and market surveillance, they also present new cybersecurity challenges.
