WASHINGTON - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) announced today that Memphis Shelby County Schools, Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) and the Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation, with offices in Covington, will receive a total of $916,030 to address storm disaster-related expenses from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Memphis Shelby County Schools will receive $250,850 for repairs and Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation will receive $541,134 for replacement utility poles and transformers as a result of the storm that was declared a disaster in February.
