CONGRESSMAN BENNIE G. THOMPSON ANNOUNCES HEAD START GRANT AWARDS FOR MISSISSIPPI CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

Washington, June 1 -- Representative Bennie G. Thompson issued the following press release:

Congressman Bennie G. Thompson today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded a total of $232,380 in federal funding to Mississippi Action for Progress, Inc. (MAP) to support Head Start programs serving children and families throughout Mississippi.

The grants will support the continuation of vital early childhood education, health, nutrition, and family support services provided through the Head Start program.

The awards include:
