WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Coast Guard issued the following news release:
SAN DIEGO -The Coast Guard is searching for a missing kayaker, 27-year-old Samantha Youngs, who was reported missing near Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla, California, Tuesday morning.
Anyone who may have information regarding Youngs' location is asked to call the Joint Harbor Operations Center at 619-278-7057.
At 6:00 a.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego received notification that Youngs' family reported her missing, along with her kayak. Her car was found at the Torrey Pines Gliderport cliffside parking lot.
