WASHINGTON, July 6 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Savannah River, Savannah, GA.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 6 by Dimitrios N. Wiener, Commander, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Savannah.

Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters near Elba Island Cut on the Savannah River, Savannah, GA. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with installation of submerged dredge pipelines. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Savannah, or their designated representative.
