WASHINGTON, July 7 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Corpus Christi Bay, Corpus Christi, TX.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 7 by Torrey H. Bertheau, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Sector Corpus Christi.

Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters with a 900-foot radius in the Corpus Christi Bay. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a fireworks launch. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Corpus Christi.
