WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore, MD.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 26 by Patrick C. Burkett, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Sector Maryland-National Capital Region.
Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a safety zone for certain waters of the Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MD within 500 yards of the M/V W SAPPHIRE in position 39deg01.40' N, 76deg22.1' W. The Coast Guard is establishing this safety zone to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards during multi-agency firefighting and salvage operations.
