Brief Summary: Chromogenic extrinsic stains are common in children and frequently recur following conventional prophylaxis. Antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) using methylene blue activated by red light has demonstrated antimicrobial activity against oral biofilm and may reduce stain recurrence.
