CENTERS FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: MEDICARE PROGRAM; CY 2027 CHANGES TO THE END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE (ESRD) PROSPECTIVE PAYMENT SYSTEM, ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY DIALYSIS (AKI) PAYMENT, AND ESRD QUALITY INCENTIVE PROGRAM

WASHINGTON, June 26 -- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a proposed rule called: Medicare Program; CY 2027 Changes to the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System, Acute Kidney Injury Dialysis (AKI) Payment, and ESRD Quality Incentive Program.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on June 26 by Robert F. Kennedy, Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services.

Summary: This proposed rule would update and revise the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System for calendar year 2027.
