WASHINGTON, May 13 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy issued the following press release:

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $18,928,243.43 in federal funding from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster recovery and emergency response efforts following Hurricanes Ida and Francine. The funding will assist with debris removal, coastal restoration, and management costs for local and state agencies.

"Louisiana communities know how to clean up, rebuild, and move forward after a storm," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding supports those efforts."
