WASHINGTON, April 24 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy issued the following press release:

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $32,167,742.80 in federal funding from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to strengthen critical infrastructure and improve emergency preparedness across the state. The funding will support upgrades to an electrical substation in Cameron Parish and install backup power generators for key public safety facilities in Baton Rouge.

"Louisiana needs reliable power before, during, and after a storm," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding strengthens our power grid so families aren't left in the dark when it matters most."
