The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill continues to lead in global education, earning national recognition for study abroad participation in the latest Open Doors rankings released this week.
Carolina ranks No. 10 in the nation for total student participation in study abroad, marking the second consecutive year the University has placed in the top 10 nationally. A total of 2,758 students studied abroad during the 2023-24 academic year, making it the highest number in Carolina's history. Nearly 47% of undergraduates now participate in a study abroad experience for academic credit before graduation.
