Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Chairman of the Senate Environmental and Public Works (EPW) Committee and a leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the Berkeley County Public Service Water District (BCPSWD) in Berkeley County, W.Va.
This award, which was secured through a CDS request made by Chairman Capito in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), will be used to support existing water needs and also future growth, which is expected to bring additional business, residential, and recreational development to Berkeley County.
