Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and senior member of the Finance Committee, released the following statement on the Trump administration refusing to renew the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):
"The formal review of the USMCA started today. The agreement and the subsequent investments in supply chains built on a three-country market have created wealth and opportunity for all of North America. I ask the USTR to negotiate in good faith with our partners and extend the agreement."
