BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS ISSUES RULE: CIVIL PENALTIES INFLATION ADJUSTMENTS; ANNUAL ADJUSTMENTS

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 -- Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a rule called: Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustments; Annual Adjustments.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 20 by William Henry Kirkland III, Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs.

Summary: This rule provides for annual adjustments to the level of civil monetary penalties contained in Bureau of Indian Affairs (Bureau) regulations to account for inflation under the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015 and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance.
