WASHINGTON, June 26 -- Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a notice called: HEARTH Act Approval of Cachil DeHe Band of Wintun Indians of the Colusa Indian Community of the Colusa Rancheria, California, Leasing Ordinance.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 26 by William Henry Kirkland III, Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs.
Summary: The Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs approved the Cachil DeHe Band of Wintun Indians of the Colusa Indian Community of the Colusa Rancheria, California, Leasing Ordinance under the Helping Expedite and Advance Responsible Tribal Homeownership Act of 2012 (HEARTH Act). With this approval, the Tribe is authorized to enter into leases without further Secretary of the Interior approval.
