WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 -- Sen. Ted Budd issued the following press release:
U.S. Senator Ted Budd (R-N.C.) joined Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) in introducing the bipartisan Stop Illegal Aliens Drunk Driving Act, which would strengthen current immigration laws to ensure aliens who drive drunk and kill or seriously injure someone can be arrested, detained, and removed from the United States as aggravated felons. The bill would also permanently bar such illegal aliens from obtaining immigration status, such as asylum, or from holding a Green Card.
