The Maine Monitor and Portland Press Herald interviewed Mark Brewer, professor and chair of political science at the University of Maine, on how many cities and towns across the state are struggling to retain their managers. "I see two primary drivers here," he said to The Maine Monitor. "The first is that for a variety of reasons, the number of trained town managers in Maine has declined significantly in recent years."
