Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) today announced that the Philadelphia region will receive $8,474,327 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation to support public transportation improvements ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
"With the world coming to Philadelphia in 2026, we have a responsibility to be ready," said Congressman Boyle. "I was proud to help secure this federal funding to strengthen our transit system so it can handle the surge in ridership during the World Cup.
