U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA-07) reintroduced the Maximizing Outcomes for Moms through Medicaid Improvement and Enhancement of Services (MOMMIES) Act, a sweeping bill designed to reverse the nation's rising maternal mortality rates and close the deadly racial gaps that disproportionately harm Black, Indigenous, and other women and birthing people of color.
