UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Sept. 17 -- Pennsylvania State University issued the following news release:
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - At its meeting today (Sept. 17), the Finance and Investment Committee of the Penn State Board of Trustees voted to support the sale of the Penn State Shenango property to JCL Development LLC for $1 million, and the sale of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre property to HGC Development LLC for $5.25 million. The transactions are contingent on approval by the full Board on Friday, Sept. 18.
These agreements to sell closing campus properties are the first to be presented to the board since the University announced in May 2025 that it would close seven Commonwealth Campuses at the conclusion of the 2026-27 academic year.
