WASHINGTON, July 17 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management issued the following press release:
NEWCASTLE, Wyo. - The Bureau of Land Management is proposing plans to guide resource management on public lands in northeast Wyoming and throughout Nebraska. If approved, the plans would provide for responsible use of America's public lands while managing threats to sensitive resources, address comments submitted by the public and cooperating agencies, make nearly all federal mineral estate in the area available for leasing (including fluid, solid, and non-energy resources), allow for livestock grazing on all federal lands,and allow for commercial timber harvest.
