ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bureau of Land Management is taking a major step today toward securing the future of Alaska's famed Trans Alaska Pipeline System, opening a 15-day scoping period on a proposed 30-year renewal of the system's right-of-way. This begins the environmental review process needed to unlock decades more of safe transport of oil through the 800-mile pipeline, providing American energy and economic security.
This action comes in response to a 30-year right-of-way renewal application from Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, which operates the pipeline on behalf of its three owner companies: Harvest Alaska, ...
