Washington D.C.- The U.S. Senate last night passed theModernizing Outdated Regulations to Expand American Fuel Act of 2026 (MORE American Fuel Act). The bipartisanbill was introduced by Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ).

The MORE American Fuel Act modernizes outdated Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensing requirements for uranium enrichment facilities and aligns them with the process already used for other nuclear facilities and reactors.
