VALDOSTA, Ga., May 11 -- Valdosta State University issued the following news release:
VALDOSTA - Rebekah Kate "Bekah" McCord of Dexter, Georgia, is the recipient of Valdosta State University's 2025-2026 College of the Arts Outstanding Student Award.
The College of the Arts Outstanding Student Award is presented to a student with a record of academic excellence and distinguished service inside and outside the classroom.
McCord graduated May 9 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She plans to continue her education at VSU, pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in Music Education and a career as an elementary school music teacher.
