Robert W. Glover, associate professor of political science and honors at the University of Maine, wrote an opinion column for the Bangor Daily News about the limits of election simulations and how forecasts can shape public perceptions of political races. "The purpose of election forecasting should be to help citizens better understand elections - not to convince them that elections have already been decided," Glover wrote.
