OAKLAND -California Attorney General Rob Bonta yesterday co-led a coalition of 21 attorneys general in submitting a comment letter opposing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s proposal to dismantle its rules prohibiting housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. HUD's proposal would conform HUD's regulations with President Trump's executive order targeting LGBTQ+ individuals by removing all references to gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity from the regulations.
