ATTORNEY GENERAL ALAN WILSON ANNOUNCES MAN WITH POWER OF ATTORNEY CHARGED WITH STEALING MORE THAN $10,000 FROM VULNERABLE ADULT

COLUMBIA, S.C., Oct. 13 -- The South Carolina Attorney General issued the following news release:

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that his office's Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit (VAMPF) has arrested Paul M. Bostrom, 58 years old, of Highlands, N.C.

Bostrom faces the following charges:

Bostrom was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center on October 12, 2026.

A joint investigation conducted by VAMPF and the Lexington Police Department alleges that Bostrom, while the victim was residing in an assisted living facility in Lexington, South Carolina, used his position as the victim's power of attorney to unlawfully convert the victim's funds and assets for his...
