(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced today that the Chester County Grand Jury indicted three current or former Richburg and Chester County officials on charges of misconduct in office, obtaining property by false pretenses, and conspiracy.
Former Richburg Fire Department Chief Stewart Tyson Melton is charged with three counts of Misconduct in Office; one count of Obtaining Signature or Property by False Pretenses, value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000; and one count of Obtaining Signature or Property by False Pretenses, value more than $10,000.
