Atlanta, June 25 -- ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY GOVERNMENT has issued a solicitation notice (PE-62960-NONST-2026-000000120) titled ‘Bid #26049 - Beacham WTP Lagoon Cleanout: Phase 2’. Notably, the event starts on June 24 and ends on July 24.
Further, the description states, “This is a lagoon dredging bid project for the JG Beacham Water Treatment Plant. Its lagoon collects sludge from the filtration and sedimentation treatment process which has not been dredged since 2018. Last dredging removed 6328 dry tons. It is not anticipated that the sludge is a hazardous waste as defined by federal and state regulations.
