Assemblymember Alex Lee released the following statement regarding the Governor's decision to veto AB 1729, which proposed to ensure transparency around state agencies' telework policies.
"Telework directly benefits the public by saving taxpayer dollars and state resources. It is a proven tool for recruiting and retaining our workforce, while maintaining state workers' productivity. AB 1729 was a bipartisan bill that passed the Legislature with a supermajority of votes.
