LAS VEGAS, NV - U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, met with the Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles, Sylvie Bedard, to discuss the current relationship between Nevada and Canada, as well as the importance of Canadian visitors and products to Nevada's economy. This meeting comes as Donald Trump announced a new 50 percent tariff on a long list of Canadian goods. Trump's continued gratuitous attacks on Canada have also impacted Nevada's tourism industry, with international visitation to Las Vegas dropping 17.4 percent last year.
