Washington, D.C. - The Trump administration has announced an additional $8 million in funding through the Rural Health Transformation Program, established by Arrington's One Big Beautiful Bill, to strengthen rural health care across Texas.
The funding will support 28 rural health care providers, including Sudan Medical Clinic in Lamb County, through Texas' Rural Texas Strong initiative. These investments will help rural providers recruit and retain health care professionals, modernize medical equipment and facilities, and expand access to quality care while improving the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
