The U.S. Army organization in charge of the service's force projection platform in the Middle East changed commanders, July 23, in a year marked by significant actions in support of U.S. strategic interests in the region.
Lt. Gen. Kevin C. Leahy, commanding general of U.S. Army Central (ARCENT) & Third Army, presided over a change of command ceremony that saw Col. Ryan C. Agee, outgoing commander of Area Support Group - Jordan (ASG-J), transfer command to Col. Matthew F. Quinn, during a ceremony held in Jordan.
