ANTHONY CLAUSON, EDITOR OF THE COLLEGE HEIGHTS HERALD, NAMED TO THE NEW YORK TIMES CORPS MENTORING PROGRAM

BOWLING GREEN, Ky., Sept. 3 -- Western Kentucky University issued the following news release:

Anthony Clauson, the editor-in-chief of the College Heights Herald, was named Thursday to The New York Times Corps, the newspaper's talent mentorship program for undergraduate journalists nationwide. Clauson is the first student from WKU named to the group.

Clauson, a junior from Bowling Green, is one of 21 college students from across the country who will spend multiple years learning from New York Times journalists. Each student is matched with a newsroom mentor, from whom they receive regular career guidance and feedback, according to the Times Corps announcement.
