UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., July 17 -- Pennsylvania State University issued the following news release:

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Rebecca Krisher, professor of reproductive biology and head of the Department of Animal Science in Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences, was named president of the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR), effective July 22. She is the third Penn Stater to hold the gavel and lead the organization.

Krisher follows Joy Pate, professor emeritus of reproductive physiology, who was president of the society in 2004-05, and Troy Ott, Peter and Ann Tombros Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, who was president of the society in 2021-22.
