TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) issued the following statement after passage of the Airspace Location and Enhanced Risk Transparency Act of 2026 or the ALERT Act through the U.S. House of Representatives:
"No one should ever suffer from the loss of a loved one from a preventable tragedy like that of Flight 5342. Following the collision between a commercial flight and a U.S. Army helicopter that claimed the lives of my constituents, Christine and Spencer Lane, I welcome steps to strengthen aviation safety.
