The Air Force Recruiting Service will mark a significant milestone by celebrating the achievement of its fiscal year 2026 enlisted accessions recruiting goal with a time-honored bell-ringing ceremonyat the AFRS headquarters building, Oct. 19.
The bell-ringing tradition, led by AFRS Commander Col. Lacresha Merkle, symbolizes the successful completion of the year's recruitment target. Military personnel, civilian staff and key leaders from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force will attend the event.
