WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, Aug. 24 -- The U.S. Air Force Wright-Patterson Air Force Base issued the following news release:
The 30th annual Air Force Marathon is less than a month away, and organizers are still looking for volunteers to help support the event.
About 500 volunteers are still needed this year, officials said. Registration is 70% filled, and the sign-up period ends Sept. 6, 2026.
"Our volunteers are the heart of the Air Force Marathon," said Jasmine Gwin, Air Force Marathon race director. "Their dedication, time and commitment are what help bring this event to life. The marathon would not be possible without them, and we are incredibly grateful for the countless ways they support our runners and our mission."
