WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 -- Agricultural Marketing Service has issued a proposed rule called: Onions Grown in Certain Designated Counties in Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon; Decreased Assessment Rate.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 10 by Erin Morris, Administrator, Agricultural Marketing Service.
Summary: This proposed rule would implement a recommendation from the Idaho-Eastern Oregon Onion Committee (Committee) to decrease the assessment rate established for the 2025-2026 and subsequent fiscal periods from $.07 to $.05 per hundredweight for onions grown in certain designated counties in Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon.
