JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 5 -- The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce issued the following news release:
Just two days ahead of the 167th Mississippi State Fair, Ag Commissioner Andy Gipson is taking his original 1968 Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in support of Cruisin' the Coast 2026.
Gipson's antique pickup truck, a "three speed on the column," has been a part of the Mississippi State Fair ribbon cutting and parade since 2018.
Following a road trip along Highway 90 for Cruisin' the Coast set for Tuesday, October 6, the truck will make its way back to Jackson for the official State Fair Ribbon Cutting later this week.
