US, Sept. 20 -- According to Visit Flanders, 73% of Flemish residents took at least one overnight trip in 2025. Of those respondents, 65% reported at least one foreign excursion, and overseas travel represented 35% of travellers with an overnight stay. The data positions Flanders as an important outbound source market for nearby European destinations.

Participation varied sharply by household and socioeconomic factors. Households with two employed persons recorded the highest participation at 91%, while households with children reached 87%. Households without employed members recorded just 46% participation.
