U.S, Dec. 22 -- The Government of The Bahamas has confirmed it will review its newly introduced boating fees and entry protocols after concerns raised by tourism stakeholders reached the highest levels of government, including direct discussions between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation I. Chester Cooper and Prime Minister Philip Davis.
Following those discussions, officials said key points of concern were identified, prompting a review of both the regulatory framework and its implementation. The move comes amid reports from marina operators, charter companies, and small tourism businesses-particularly in Abaco, Bimini, and The Exumas-of cancellations and growing visitor unease over the new rules.
