Ponnam Prabhakar hands over Rs 90.85 lakh aid to family of deceased RTC driverहैदराबाद, 20 जुलाई (वार्ता) तेलंगाना के परिवहन एवं पिछड़ा वर्ग (बीसी) कल्याण मंत्री पोन्नम प्रभाकर ने सोमवार को सड़क परिवहन निगम (आरसीटी) कला भवन में तेलंगाना राज्य सड़क परिवहन निगम (टीजीएसआरसीटी) कर्मचारी सहायता पहल के तहत दिवंगतचालक कोला शंकर के परिवार को 90.85 लाख रुपये का चेक सौंपा।
यह चेक शंकर की पत्नी हेमलता, पुत्र हेमंत और पुत्री शालिनी को टीजीएसआरसीटी के अध्य एवं महाप्रबंधक वाई. नागी रेड्डी, कार्यकारी निदेशकों और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में सौंपा गया।
इस मौके पर श्री प्रभाकर ने कहा कि आरटीसी परिवार शंकर के शोक संतप्त परिवार की मदद के लिए एकजुट हुआ है और उन्होंने कर्मचारियों के कल्याण के प्रति सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार निगम में लंबे समय से लंबित मुद्दों को हल कर रही है और सेवानिवृत्त हो चुके कर्मचारियों की चिंताओं को दूर करने के लिए भी कदम उठा रही है।
Hyderabad, July 20 (UNI) Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday handed over a cheque for Rs 90.85 lakh to the family of late RTC driver Kola Shankar under the TGSRTC Employees' Support Initiative at RTC Kala Bhavan. The cheque was presented to Shankar's wife Hemalatha, son Hemanth, and daughter Shalini in the presence of TGSRTC Chairman and Managing Director, Y Nagi Reddy, Executive Directors and other senior officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the RTC family had come together to support Shankar's bereaved family and reiterated the government's commitment to the welfare of RTC employees. He said the government is resolving long-pending issues in the corporation and has been taking steps to address the concerns of retired employees as well.कांग्रेस सरकार की पहलों का ज़िक्र करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि महिलाओं के लिए मुफ़्त बस यात्रा वाली महालक्ष्मी योजना ने सार्वजनिक परिवहन को मज़बूत किया है। सरकार इस योजना के खर्च की भरपाई के लिए टीजीएसआरटीसी को हर महीने 300 करोड़ रुपये देती है। उन्होंने काम का बोझ बढ़ने के बावजूद यात्रियों की सेवा जारी रखने के लिए आरसीटी कर्मचारियों की तारीफ़ की।
मंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार आरसीटी को मज़बूत करने के लिए इसकी सेवाओं को मल्टी-मॉडल ट्रांज़िट सिस्टम (एमएमटीएस) और हैदराबाद मेट्रो के साथ जोड़ने, गांवों को हैदराबाद से जोड़ने वाले नए रूट शुरू करने और शहर के मुख्य इलाके में नया बस टर्मिनल बनाने पर काम कर रही है। उन्होंने आरटीसी को "आम आदमी की जीवन रेखा" बताया और ज़ोर दिया कि यात्रियों की सुविधा और कर्मचारियों का कल्याण सरकार की प्राथमिकता बनी रहेगी।
श्री प्रभाकर ने घोषणा की कि सरकार शंकर के बेटे हेमंत को नौकरी देगी और परिवार के लिए एक 'इन्दिराम्मा घर' भी मंज़ूर किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि छह लाख रुपये से कम सालाना आय वाले आरटीसी कर्मचारी (आउटसोर्सिंग स्टाफ़ सहित) 'इन्दिराम्मा गृह परियोजना ' के तहत घर के लिए आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं।
Highlighting the Congress government's initiatives, Ponnam said the Mahalakshmi scheme providing free bus travel for women has strengthened public transport, with the government releasing Rs 300 crore every month to TGSRTC to compensate for the scheme. He appreciated RTC employees for continuing to serve passengers despite the increased workload.The Minister said the government is working to strengthen RTC by integrating its services with the MMTS and Hyderabad Metro, introducing new routes connecting villages with Hyderabad, and constructing a new bus terminal in the core city area. He described RTC as the "lifeline of the common man" and stressed that passenger convenience and employee welfare would remain top priorities. Ponnam announced that the government would provide a job to Shankar's son Hemanth and has also sanctioned an Indiramma house for the family. He added that RTC employees with annual incomes below Rs 6 lakh are eligible to apply for houses under the Indiramma housing scheme, including outsourcing staff.मंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार आरटीसी से जुड़े मुद्दों पर चार मंत्रियों और अधिकारियों की समिति के फैसलों को आगे बढ़ाएगी और चुनाव के बाद आरटीसी के विलय की प्रक्रिया शुरू करेगी। उन्होंने कर्मचारियों से निगम के विकास के लिए मिलकर काम करते रहने का आग्रह किया और भरोसा दिलाया कि सरकार कर्मचारियों के कल्याण से कोई समझौता नहीं करेगी।
